File naming example
I will give a couple of examples using my number ( FE003 ). The first example will be for Digital Pictorial and the second for Digital Nature. I will use the generic names of My Picture for DP and My Nature Picture for DN
01,FE003,DP,My Picture.jpg
01,FE003,DN,My Nature Picture.jpg
01 = always the same – this is used for sequencing by the club and N4C when entries are received.
FE003 = Unique number from above. Substitute your number here.
DP = code for picture being entered in Digital Pictorial category.
DN = code for picture being entered in Digital Nature category.
My Picture = The name of your Digital Slide entry
Things of note : Don't forget the commas !! ( There are three [ 3 ] of them )There is always the same number of characters thru the comma after either DP or DN ( 12 ). The only variant to file name length is how many characters are in your title.
Also there are no spaces except between words in your title. If your title consists of one word then there are no spaces at all.
If you can size and name your entries correctly it would be much appreciated !! It makes it much easier to sequence entries for projection on salon nights as well as keep track of whose entries they are. Also this format is the one we have to use for moving entries on to N4C.
